Essential Job Functions
- The Associate Director of Knowledge Management Strategy works closely with firm's practice Knowledge Managers for various practices to ensure there is a strategy for consistent creation, management and sharing of knowledge assets with appropriate quality, accessibility, and efficient collaboration among the constituents
- Create and manage the road maps for the KM practices, processes and needed technology platforms to enhance the effectiveness of Knowledge Managers and their stakeholders in terms of experience, usage, usability, accuracy and consistency
- Assess and recommend innovative ways of managing the knowledge management life cycle, as well as integrating them in various digital assets for timely and effective content rendering with best in class catalogue, search, and AI
- Create and Manage user groups across various practices to understand their knowledge needs, as well as feedback on effectiveness of the KM function with an emphasis on continuous improvements

- Owns the KM strategy in terms of needed capabilities to create, distribute and maintain various KM assets, platforms, forums, reviews and associated governance.
- Works with firm's functional, knowledge management and business leaders to understand, document and contribute to the firm's KM objectives, initiatives and road map.
- Partners with user groups, technical teams, and knowledge advisory group to map the KM objectives with firm's technology, and business initiatives to promote firmwide access, usage and adoption of knowledge assets
- Creates and executes evangelization of KM best practices for consistent and tighter alignment across different practices and regions.
- Define and manage KM governance activities to ensure continuous engagement of various stakeholders in terms of their feedback, contributions, and inputs into ongoing KM initiatives
- Partners with internal and external KP experts to infuse innovation with focus on continuous improvements and maturity of firm's KM practice
- Create and maintain firm's end to end connected view of Knowledge Assets, Storage/distribution platforms, create-review-update-share-retire processes of knowledge assets for improved reuse, effectiveness, governance, and ROI

- Acts as internal KM champion and promotes and contributes to ongoing KM, Data, and technology initiatives
- Be the role model by representing firm's values and ethics
- Fosters and promotes heathy working relationships across the board to propagate end-to-end value of data.
Qualifications & Requirements
Education, Work Experience, Skills
- Proven experience and leadership in the design, implementation and deployment of knowledge management solutions and processes in a legal firm
- 10 years of experience in crafting, and deploying Knowledge Management processes, and solutions
- 5 years of leadership experience in business facing, leading enterprise-wide knowledge transformation programs, including org change management, product/process adoption, managing value by metrics/KPIs
- Strong content, collaboration, communication management experience, and presentation skills with focus on details and quality
- Experience in user adoption strategies, change management as well as transforming cross functional teams, and diversified business units
- Critical, analytical, and creative thinking, with strong relationship building skills
- Accountability, including the proven ability to develop own expertise, respond to feedback, drive quality, and learn from experience
- Strong Business acumen, proven abilities to build and advocate business cases, align with business goals/strategy
- Internal and external client management, measure and manage stakeholder value
- Advocate, influence and promote team work, with needed coaching /mentoring as needed for other team members
- Demonstrable project/program management experience in traditional and agile delivery methods.
- Strong organizational, verbal, and written communication skills including interacting with Senior leaders and C level personnel.
- Ability to interact with business to create solution charters, road maps, business cases, solution architecture and delivery plans.
Technologies/Software
- 10 years of experience on content management systems, such as SharePoint, Intranet solutions, as well as internal blog/communications/collaboration teams
- Thorough understanding for Usability, UX, CX, Modern content delivery, graphics etc for creating intriguing digital assets
- Demonstrable experience in facing of with Sr business leaders in understanding and delivering end-to-end knowledge management lifecyle processes

- Any industry recognized relevant to KM practice
