We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Janitor to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and orderliness in various facilities, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for all occupants. This role is essential in providing high-quality custodial services across commercial, industrial, and residential settings.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and vacuuming to maintain cleanliness in assigned areas.
- Conduct thorough commercial cleaning of offices, restrooms, and common areas to ensure high standards of hygiene.
- Assist with facilities maintenance tasks as needed, including minor repairs and upkeep of equipment.
- Carry out floor care duties such as buffing and waxing to enhance the appearance of floors.
- Respond promptly to cleaning requests and maintain an organized supply inventory.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and proper handling of cleaning chemicals.
- Collaborate with team members to complete larger cleaning projects efficiently.
Skills
- Proven experience in commercial cleaning or custodial services is preferred.
- Familiarity with industrial cleaning techniques and equipment operation is advantageous.
- Ability to perform porter duties as required, including moving furniture or equipment safely.
- Knowledge of floor care practices, including buffing and maintenance techniques.
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining cleanliness standards.
- Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively within a busy environment.
- Good communication skills to interact positively with staff and facility users.
