Kirksville High School (Grades 9-12) Principal Position
Kirksville, Missouri
The Kirksville R-III School District is seeking a dynamic, energetic individual to lead Kirksville High School, Grades 9-12. The selected person will be responsible for approximately 750 students and 70 staff members. Teaching experience is necessary, as well as, Administration Certification.
Preference will be given to experience and degree held. Salary will also be based upon experience and degree held. This position is a twelve-month contracted position and is open due to retirement.
Knowledge, Responsibilities and Specific Duties:
- Promote a vision of learning that is shared by the school community.
- Possess experience with school improvement and the change process.
- Analyze data for all areas evaluated through MSIP 5.
- Provide effective and timely professional staff development.
- Supervise and manage instructional programming and curriculum development.
- Hire staff and develop schedules.
- Maintain daily operations.
- Serve on district level committees.
- Conduct staff meetings for policy change, new programming and vision.
- Manage a building level budget.
- Maintain student discipline.
- Utilize Tyler or similar student information system.
- Possess knowledge of educator NEE or similar evaluation system.
- Leader for CSIP and Building Improvement Plan (BIP) planning and implementation within the building.
- Understand and utilize student support: Multi-tiered System of Politive Behavior Intervention Support.
- Trauma Informed Practice
- Be responsible for home and away athletic supervision.
- Coordinate student participation at the Kirksville Area Technical Center, local college and
- universities.
- Responsible for other duties as assigned.
Minimum of 3 letters of reference required.
