Kirton McConkie has an exciting employment opportunity for a legal assistant in our Boise, Idaho office. The ideal candidate will have a positive "can-do" attitude to meet the needs of high-level clients and attorneys.
Responsibilities
- Format and construct various pleadings, correspondence and other legal documents
- Manage correspondence between attorney and clients
- Assist in the preparation of legal documents related to the acquisition, ownership and development of real property
- Assist in the closing of real estate transactions including the review of legal descriptions and typical closing documents
- Organize and maintain physical and electronic files
- Oversight of individual client preferences, client accounts, and requests
- Maintain attorney calendar
- Provide proactive and advanced legal support
- Other tasks as needed
- Knowledge of court requirements and procedures
- Knowledge of basic real estate transactions including sales, purchases and leasing preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Ability to meet required deadlines, multi-task, prioritize, organize, and work calmly under pressure
- High attention to detail, be proactive, and self-motivated
- Ability to both follow instructions, and to think and work independently
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Professional appearance and attitude
- Two years of experience in a law firm preferred
- Bachelor's degree preferred
