Kismet client, Edgewood Surgical Hospital, is seeking a Purchasing and Inventory Specialist to join their dynamic team.
Position Summary:
As a key member of the finance team, this position will lead the purchasing and inventory function for Edgewood Surgical Hospital. This individual will work closely with leadership and other key staff to plan and implement maximum product standardization and more cost-effective distribution processes within departments throughout the organization. In addition, this position will be responsible for the acquisition, storage and distribution of medical equipment, dispensary supplies and other medical and general supplies or equipment for use by the facility. This position will work with various departments head of the hospital and report directly to the Chief Financial Officer.
Qualifications/Skills:
- Bachelor degree in accounting, supply chain management, finance, or related field preferred
- Minimum of 2-5 years of work experience and/or training, or can be an equivalent combination of education and experience. Areas of responsibility include: purchasing, storeroom management, hospital materials management, central supply, sterile processing.
- Experience in a medical, surgical center hospital, skilled nursing facility, or healthcare services setting preferred.
- Ability to effectively use computer applications such as spreadsheets, word processing, calendar, e-mail and database software in performing work assignments
- Skilled in the use of hospital computer systems preferred
- Knowledge of CPSI system preferred
- Thoroughness and initiative
- Customer Service Skills
