Quality Control Technician

Key Functions:

  • Position purpose is to perform required quality control testing, in-process product and finished goods using various quality control measuring and testing techniques, specific to the product manufactured. Periodically inspects and test various chemical solutions to ensure consistency and that work order specifications are being met. May also periodically test raw materials to ensure Kiswire specifications are consistently met.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Sample finished good product and perform all necessary testing;
  • Monitor chemical bath controls to maintain required specification;
  • Sample drawn wire product and perform required testing;
  • Maintain laboratory equipment to ensure calibration (and accuracy);
  • Maintain control of non-conforming wire and process;
  • Completes all documentation required for this job accurately and completely and turns in at the end of the shift, daily;
  • Perform visual inspection of wire in process;
  • Put together customer sample packages (per requirements);
  • Perform adhesion testing (per customer requirements);
  • Perform titration testing;
  • Performs housekeeping duties to keep area clean and free of safety hazards;
  • Standing, stooping, bending, pushing, pulling, reaching, and twisting are required;
  • Daily participation of housekeeping per the 5S layout;
  • Work effectively within a team;
  • Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform all of the essential functions of this job;
  • Any other duties as needed or assigned.

  • Must have a High School Diploma or equivalent;

Work Environment:

  • Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs.;
  • Work in both hot and cold environments;
  • Must be able to sit/stand for prolonged periods of time.
