Job Description
The warehouse supervisor over the inbound and inventory department is responsible for leading the warehouse associates as a team to ensure all safety, quality, packaging, shipment standards, and operational goals are attained.
Responsibilities
- Manage inbound services and inventory accuracy.
- Maintain relationships with trucking vendors as well as temp agencies to ensure exceptional customer service standards.
- Ensures safety, productivity, and quality in all warehouse distribution operations.
- Work with the warehouse management system as well as the ERP system (NetSuite).
- Refurbishes and enhances site infrastructure and equipment to support site efforts in growth and meeting objectives.
- Continues efforts to build performance metrics and train all staff in those measures to optimize performance and return on investment.
- Ensures associates have the tools and training necessary to do the job.
- Lead, coach, and manager associate.
- Ensure the work area and general upkeep of the warehouse/office facility are exceptional.
- Monitor associate productivity and accuracy as well as overall inventory management through Net Suite.
- Troubleshoot and resolve any inventory discrepancies.
- Work with the Customer Care department to resolve issues and ensure customer satisfaction.
- Manage timecards via a timekeeping system for associates.
- Maintain and execute all safety programs.
- Oversee other departments when needed.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Prior experience in leading a team of associates in a fast-paced warehouse/ distribution environment.
- Experience with warehouse equipment and training (ie, forklift, cherry picker, reach truck, etc).
- Knowledge of warehouse management systems (NetSuite experience a plus) and RF equipment.
- 5s /Lean/ Six Sigma experience preferred.
- Must have excellent communication skills, both written and oral, and the ability to effectively interact with customers and teammates.
- A bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience is preferred.
- Can manage a fast-paced dynamic work environment.
