Financial Planning and Analysis Manager

The FP&A Manager will be a key contributor to all aspects of the FP&A function at Kiteworks, including budgeting, forecasting, analysis, and mergers & acquisitions. This position requires a candidate with outstanding interpersonal skills, strong financial and business aptitude, and excellent analytical and modeling skills, who is comfortable communicating with C-Level executives. Enthusiastic, disciplined, organized, and self-motivated, the ideal candidate is a team player who is comfortable in a fast-paced environment.

This position reports to the SVP, Finance. This is a hybrid role based in our San Mateo, CA office; only outstanding remote (US-based) candidates will be considered.

• Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field.  MBA or advance degree is a plus.
• 5 years of hands-on experience in a technology company, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills and strong presentation skills.
• Expertise in Microsoft Excel and advanced financial modeling with the ability to dive into technical issues as needed.
• Experience leading workstreams cross-functionally without formal authority.
• In-depth knowledge of accounting principles, financial statements analysis, and management reporting.
• Self-motivated and comfortable operating without direct supervision.
• Software industry experience, especially at a SaaS / subscription company – a plus.
• Strong attention to detail, problem-solving abilities, and a results-driven mindset.
• Manage the annual budgeting, quarterly forecasting, biweekly updates, and long-range financial planning processes.
• Develop financial forecast and track performance to plan. Identify and drive actions to deliver to plan.
• Analyze financial data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for growth and cost savings.
• Manage P&L, workforce planning, and revenue / bookings forecast model.
• Collaborate with executives (functional heads) to ensure alignment of financial plans (P&L roll-up) with strategic objectives.
• Driving financial close and variance analysis, partnering with accounting and finance counterparts to identify and implement process improvements.
• Support integration and management of acquired companies, including participating in and leading functional / cross-functional projects and meetings
• Provide analytical support and monitor key performance indicators, highlighting trends and analyzing causes of changes. Conduct deep dives when observing abnormal trends.
• Provide ad-hoc analyses that help drive business strategy and improve efficiency.
• Drive improvements in financial processes, tools, and reporting capabilities to enhance business efficiency and accuracy.
• Support accounting close process by ensuring accuracy through analyzing actual to forecast variances.
