Job Description
Kitsap County, WA is seeking a qualified Wastewater Treatment Plant Operator to join our team. As a key member of our Public Works Department, you will be responsible for performing routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and major overhauls on equipment associated with wastewater treatment plants and lift stations.
The ideal candidate will have three years of experience as a maintenance mechanic, performing welding, fabrication, maintenance, and repair of equipment and pumps, or related work. Experience as a maintenance mechanic at a wastewater treatment or water treatment plant is highly desirable.
- Work performed primarily in the field maintaining pump stations in road rights of way, in the maintenance yard arranging material stockpiles and equipment
- Position requires traversing rough, undeveloped terrain or construction sites
