About The Role

Kitsap Credit Union is hiring a full-time Business Analyst to work a hybrid schedule at our Harborside location in Bremerton, WA. The Digital Banking Business Analyst plays a pivotal role in transforming business requirements into technology solutions within the digital banking space. This position is responsible for analyzing, documenting, and enhancing digital banking platforms to meet customer needs, regulatory requirements, and industry trends. The ideal candidate will work closely with cross-functional teams, including IT, product development, compliance, and customer service, to deliver high-quality, innovative digital banking solutions.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTIBILITIES

  • Business Analysis & Requirements Gathering:
    • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify business needs and translate them into detailed requirements for digital banking solutions.
    • Analyze existing digital banking platforms, processes, and workflows to identify areas for improvement.
    • Conduct gap analysis and recommend new functionalities, process changes, or system upgrades.
  • Solution Design & Documentation:
    • Work with IT teams and developers to design solutions that meet business requirements.
    • Create and maintain comprehensive documentation, including business process models, use cases, functional specifications, and user stories.
    • Ensure alignment between business needs and technology solutions.
  • Project Management Support:
    • Assist in managing project timelines, milestones, and deliverables related to digital banking initiatives.
    • Collaborate with the project management office (PMO) to track project progress and ensure timely delivery.
    • Participate in user acceptance testing (UAT), ensuring the solutions meet the defined requirements.
  • Stakeholder Communication:
    • Act as a liaison between business units, technology teams, and external vendors.
    • Facilitate workshops, meetings, and presentations to gather insights, clarify requirements, and communicate project updates.
    • Ensure all stakeholders are informed of project changes and impacts on business operations.
  • Market Research & Analysis:
    • Keep up to date with digital banking trends, emerging technologies, and best practices.
    • Perform competitive analysis and assess market opportunities to guide strategic decisions.
    • Provide insights on customer behavior, regulatory changes, and industry shifts that could impact digital banking solutions.
  • Risk Management & Compliance:
    • Ensure that digital banking solutions comply with relevant regulations and industry standards, such as PSD2, or other financial regulations.
    • Identify potential risks related to system changes and propose mitigation strategies.
Required Skills And Abilities

  • Problem-solving mindset with a focus on customer needs and business objectives.
    • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
    • Strong attention to detail and ability to translate technical jargon into business terms.
    • Ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams and foster an innovative environment.
  •  Skills & Competencies:
    • Strong analytical skills with the ability to understand complex business processes and technology.
    • Proficient in business analysis tools such as MS Visio, JIRA, or Confluence.
    • Knowledge of Agile methodologies and working in an Agile/Scrum environment.
    • Familiarity with APIs, cloud-based platforms, and data analysis tools.
    • Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
Qualifications And Education

  • Education:
    • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Information Technology, or a related field is a plus
  • Experience:
    • 3-5 years of experience as a business analyst in digital banking, financial services, or fintech.
    • Proven experience working with digital banking products, mobile banking applications, online banking platforms, and other related technologies.
SUPERVISORY STATUS

This position does not supervise others.

Required

This position will be required to work in an office environment with moderate noise levels, and, with or without reasonable accommodation is required:

  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position for a minimum of 75% of the time
  • Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machines
  • Occasionally ascends/descends stairs
  • Constantly positions self in work environment
  • The person in this position frequently communicates with peers, supervisors, vendors, and employees to exchange accurate information and answer questions
  • Must be able to detect objects at a distance
  • On occasion will move up to 20 pounds of office objects
  • Works in an indoor office environment but expected to attend meetings in buildings that require travel in outdoor weather conditions

Salary Range: $84,769.53 - $105,961.91

Bonus Target: 8% potential incentive of base pay

Working Hours: Monday - Friday 8AM - 5PM
