About the Role Kitsap Credit Union is hiring a full-time Business Services Specialist to work in-person at our Harborside location in Bremerton, WA. The Business Services Specialist is responsible for building and maintaining strong relationships with business members to help them achieve their financial goals. This role includes both sales and service responsibilities, with a focus on providing tailored financial solutions to meet the needs of small and medium-sized businesses. Up to 50% of the time will be spent prospecting and conducting joint calling efforts with merchant services partners, branch managers, business banking development manager, or commercial lenders. PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES Business Development and Prospecting
- Spend up to 50% of the time in outbound prospecting efforts, including joint calling with merchant services partners, branch managers, or commercial lenders.
- Identify and acquire new business members through targeted outreach and networking.
- Actively participate in community and industry events to enhance visibility and generate leads. Member Relationship Management
- Build and maintain strong, consultative relationships with business members.
- Conduct regular financial reviews with members to identify opportunities to enhance their banking experience. These reviews focus on understanding the member's unique needs and recommending solutions-such as business banking, treasury services, or personal banking products-that streamline their operations and provide tangible benefits. - Process leads from branches and the contact center, within committed SLAs.
- Conduct consultations with business members, assess their needs, and recommend appropriate financial products and services.
- Submit applications for business loans of $100,000 or less, ensuring accuracy and completeness. Monitor the loan process and communicate the loan decision. If approved, proceed to book and fund the loan.
- Open business accounts and sell treasury management services, including application processing, risk review, and onboarding.
- Promote and sell merchant services solutions tailored to the needs of business members.
- Manage business leads that have a longer cycle before conversion, ensuring consistent follow-up and relationship building. Expertise and Product Knowledge
