Temp Part-Time Clinical Records Tech/Courier
Hiring Range: $20.07 - $24.58 Per Hour
20 Hours Per Week
Monday – Friday 7:45 am – 11:45 am
Kitsap Mental Health Services (KMHS) is seeking a detail-oriented Temp Part-Time Clinical Records Tech/Courier to support our commitment to providing high-quality behavioral health services. In this role, you will transport vital documents and help the Clinical Records team deliver accurate and secure service to our staff and community.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Regularly transport mail and documents to KMHS locations as needed.
- Assisting with scanning client documents into client charts Maintain and update electronic health records (EHR) with speed and accuracy.
- Monitor and manage record storage systems, including scanning, classifying, and retrieving information.
- Support compliance with evolving healthcare regulations by staying up to date on industry changes.
- Provide outstanding customer service while responding to internal and external inquiries via phone, email, or in person.
- Contribute to a positive, solution-focused team environment by participating in meetings and quality improvement initiatives.
Minimum Qualifications:
EDUCATION: High School Diploma or GED
EXPERIENCE: Entry-Level (minimum 1 years of job-related experience as a healthcare courier, in medical records, or healthcare office setting)
This position requires driving in a personal vehicle on behalf of the agency; therefore, the incumbent must meet agency driving requirements, including meeting the minimum age requirement of 21 years old, completing a motor vehicle history check, possessing and maintaining a current, valid driver's license in the state of Washington, and having reliable, insured transportation
Preferred Qualifications:
EXPERIENCE: Intermediate (minimum 3 years of job-related experience)
Course work in medical/psychiatric terminology.
Experience using an Electronic Health Record (EHR).
Performance Requirements:
KNOWLEDGE:
- High level of proficiency with computers and ability to work with electronic medical records, various software programs and databases, and enter data with speed and accuracy.
SKILLS:
- Skill in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with other employees, clients, organizations, and the public.
- Strong communication skills are required.
- Strong organizational skills are required to prioritize a variety of work assignments.
- Communication ‑ Communicates clearly and concisely.
ABILITIES:
- Must be able to apply analytical thinking and decision making in order to use relevant information and individual judgement to determine whether events or processes comply with regulations or standards.
- Detail oriented with the ability, to organize, manage multiple tasks, and complete work accurately within specified timeframes either independently, or with the team
- The ability to operate a personal computer, fax machine, printer, and copier proficiently.
Equipment Operated: Standard office equipment including computers, fax machines, copiers, printers, telephones, etc.
Work Environment: Frequent mobility and/or sitting required for extended periods.
Mental/Physical Requirements: While performing the job duties, the employee must walk, sit, use hands and fingers, reach with arms, talk, or listen. Peripheral vision is also required for this position.
