What are the responsibilities and job description for the Inventory Control Supervisor position at Kitsap Transit?
Kitsap Transit is excited to announce a position for, Inventory Control Supervisor who oversees inventory, operations and staff for parts used in vehicle maintenance and repair.
You will have the opportunity to work independently with minimal supervision from the department director.
Characteristic Duties and Responsibilities:
Reviews prices/quotes and parts orders; coordinates and reviews physical inventories; reviews stocking levels and optimizes ordering; reviews and implements changes to increase efficiency.
Reviews and maintains computerized parts inventory, ordering and barcode systems.
Works closely with vehicle maintenance staff to ensure parts are available when needed; assists maintenance in accident damage estimates.
Maintains records; conducts research and prepares reports; evaluates service and makes suggestions for improvements; monitors and ensures safety of work environment.
High school graduation/GED and three (3) years of increasingly responsible experience ordering, distributing and maintaining parts for fleet support including one (1) year of lead work and/or supervisory experience.
Automotive Service Excellence P1 and P2 certification is highly desired. An Associate degree (AS or AA) or a two-year technical certificate with training or degree in supply chain, logistics and vehicle maintenance is preferred.
