Why we need you and what you will be responsible for:
We have lots and lots of boats to build for First Responders and the Military, and that takes a lot of parts and means a lot of work for a busy Supply Chain/Warehouse Team! The Inventory Control and Warehouse Coordinator is a member of the Warehouse/Supply Chain Team. With limited supervision, they will ensure the proper receipt, accounting, location, delivery (both internally and externally), counting, reconciliation, return and all other facets of parts and material handling and warehouse coordination as required. This position will also have responsibilities specific to supporting inventory tracking and control.
What you will do:
Inventory Control Coordinator Responsibilities:
- Under direction from the Department Manager, oversees and leads the cycle count process
- Participates in regular cycle counts and inventory.
- Verifies inventory quantities and assist in inventory level maintenance.
- Issues materials used in Production, including but not limited to:
- Plate
- Extrusion
- Wire
- Collars
- Finish
- Foam Bags
- Under direction from the Dept Manager, supports and coordinates processing of Spares orders
- Processes the receipt of Plate and Extrusion
- Processes work orders
General Warehouse Responsibilities:
- Ensure proper receipt of all delivered goods. Proper receipt requires a physical count of received goods against the shipper’s packing list.
- Report all receipt discrepancies to peers and, when appropriate, the Warehouse Manager and the Purchasing Team.
- Place all received goods in the proper location be it within a kit, shelf or directly to the production site.
- Move materials as needed from warehouse to kit to production site and vice versa. All material moves should be done utilizing the proper equipment inclusive of manually, using hand trucks, pallet jacks and/or forklifts.
- Use Bar Code Scanners and Printers for reading and marking inventory items.
- Properly store all materials to ensure safety of goods and co-workers.
- Prepares shipments and ensures documents and paperwork is processed and routed to appropriate departments (Purchasing, finance, parts sales)
- Processes and ships returns or exchanges of broken, defective, or unneeded items.
- Properly pack shipping containers to ensure safe ocean, ground, and air transport.
- Install protective devices such as bracing, padding and/or strapping, to prevent shifting or damage during transport.
- Assemble product containers, storage racks, crates and anything deemed necessary using hand tools and pre-cut lumber as needed.
- Examine and inspect stock items for wear or defect. Report any damage to peers or Warehouse Manager. Dispose of damaged or worn goods as instructed by Lead or Manager.
- Clean and maintain supplies, tools, equipment, storage areas, warehouse floors and workstations. Always maintain a safe and secure work environment.
- Report all noticed potential for danger to others, damage to buildings or materials or personal property to the Warehouse Lead or Manager.
- Verify correctness of inventory items via visual checks against database/ERP calculations. Report all discrepancies to Warehouse Manager.
- Utilize computer system(s) for receipt and issuance of stock items.
- Processing CFE (Customer Furnished Equipment) receipts into CRM and ARAS systems.
- Works with procurement for the adjustment of correct item types and quantities ordered and received.
- Demonstrate competency with email, Microsoft Word, Excel, SL and CRM.
- Assists with problem solving issues related to material shortages, overages, and inventory issues.
- Works closely with purchasing and procurement to monitor reorder points, vendor restock concerns, etc
- May suggest and support opportunities for improvement for Warehouse functions and collaborates with Warehouse Manager for potential implementation.
- Professionally and respectfully interact with immediate team members and all other colleagues and visitors.
- Report all noticed potential for danger to others, damage to buildings or materials or personal property to the Warehouse Manager.
- Other duties as assigned by the Warehouse Manager.

Physical Requirements:
- Static Strength - The ability to exert maximum muscle force to lift, push, pull, or carry objects. Lift up to 40 lbs.
- Trunk Strength - The ability to use your abdominal and lower back muscles to support part of the body repeatedly or continuously over time without 'giving out' or fatiguing.
- Grasping, writing, standing, sitting, walking, kneeling, crawling, repetitive motions, bending, stooping, stretching, climbing, hearing ability and visual acuity.
- Must be able to work at heights and within confined spaces.
- Forklift and scissor lift operations.
Required Education/Experience:
- High School Diploma (or GED/High School Equivalence Certificate) Associates Degree or additional education in Supply Chain, Logistics, or similar areas preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of warehouse and/or material handling experience, or in a similar field, preferably in a similar industry. LEAN Manufacturing experience a plus.
- Inventory Control specific experience in a previous job role
- Intermediate to advanced computer skills- Microsoft Office and Inventory Control Software experience
