The Kittelsen Law Firm, in Monroe, Wisconsin is looking to bring on an accountant/ tax preparer. Our professionalism, responsiveness and high standards build strong relationships with our clients for almost 80 years. We are looking for an individual who is self-motivated and is looking for new opportunities working with clients. We are looking for an experienced accountant / tax preparer for our Monroe office (with some availability to work in the Janesville area or remotely).
Responsibilities for this position include:
- Preparation of individual, business, non-profit and trust income tax returns
- Tax projections
- Financial statement preparations and compilations
- Working with directly with clients
- Managing services for multiple clients
- Assist with probate document preparation during non-tax season under the supervision of an attorney
Candidates should have the following qualifications:
- Certified Public Accountant or Enrolled Agent license preferred
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or a related field
- At least 3 years of tax preparation experience
- Knowledge of QuickBooks and Excel
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work independently
- Enjoy working with clients
- Multi-tasking and organizational skills
- Ability to work in a small office environment
This position is full-time. As a law firm, our business sometimes demands over-time during tax season, but we pride ourselves on maintaining a work-life balance. Our office is closed for all major holidays and even some local ones, such as Cheese Days, and we often leave work early on Fridays during the summer.
