Job Description
Directs the overall hospital operations of plant operations, building, equipment and grounds repair and maintenance, as well as compliance with all applicable regulations in all KVH owned/leased facilities. Responsible for the safe and efficient operations of organizational safety systems in conformity with fire, safety, sanitary & medical requirements.
Directs, supervises and evaluates the Manager of Facilities, Construction Projects Manager, Manager of Environmental Services and the Safety Officer. The Director will coordinate with all levels of management and staff regarding safety and security, including providing leadership and oversight of the safety and security committees.
Directs the overall operations of Environmental Services in all KVH owned/leased facilities.
Directs the overall operations of Security and Environment of Care in all KVH owned/leased facilities.
Directs the overall operations of construction projects to include feasibility, design and development, cost projections, contracts and bidding, and sees the project through to completion.
Is responsible for ensuring equipment and system evaluations meet regulatory and survey standards and requirements. Makes recommendations and cost forecasting for capital projects.
Oversees energy management to assure the organization is running efficiently and meeting mandated energy usage targets.
Qualifications
What is required...
- Bachelor of Engineering or Safety & Health Management degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
- At least three years’ experience in plant operations and/or the building trades in a hospital environment, two of which must be in a supervisory capacity.
What is preferred...
- Certified Hospital Operations Professional (CHOP-B)
- Certified Healthcare Facilities Manager (CHFM)
Additional Information
Wage: Wage range currently starts at $100,651/year and goes up to $156,083/year. Actual wage will be based on years' of applicable experience.
FTE: 1.0 (40 hours/week); Exempt
