Accounts Receivable Manager

We are seeking a highly motivated Accounts Receivable (AR) Manager to lead our AR operations, drive collections, and ensure smooth cash application processes for a high-volume business.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and lead the AR function, including credit management, cash application, reconciliation, and collections.
- Develop and provide AR reporting, including AR Ratio, DSO, collection trends, and risk assessment for high-risk accounts.
- Ensure timely revenue recognition by managing invoicing, resolving payment discrepancies, and supervising staff handling receivables.
- Manage credit approvals, set credit limits, and enforce company credit policies.
- Identify and implement system improvements to streamline processes and increase efficiency.
- Lead collections efforts by proactively contacting past-due accounts, resolving disputes, negotiating settlements, and expediting payments.
- Support financial planning by forecasting cash flow and monitoring receivables.
- Oversee daily sales order processing and bank remittance transactions to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
- Maintain compliance and protect sensitive financial data through strong internal controls and confidentiality.
- Stay updated on industry best practices and regulatory changes by attending relevant training and professional events.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Proven experience managing accounts receivable for a high-volume business with major retailers (e.g., Walmart, Target, Amazon, and other large B2B accounts).
- Strong understanding of credit management, collections strategies, and cash applications.
- High proficiency in ERP systems (such as JD Edwards, SAP, or NetSuite) and financial reporting tools.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills for handling customer disputes and payment resolution.
- Ability to analyze financial data, identify trends, and implement improvements to drive efficiency.
- Leadership experience in managing and developing an AR team, including performance tracking and process improvements.
- Ability to prioritize, multi-task, and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- High level of integrity, dependability, and adaptability to changing business needs.
