Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Procurement Specialist with expertise in international air freight to join our Global Logistics category team. The ideal candidates will utilize their knowledge to provide procurement support for company's Global Logistics operations This role requires a comprehensive understanding of international freight operations, cost optimization strategies, supplier management, and industry-specific supply chain dynamics. The candidate will frequently collaborate with Logistics leadership team and other key stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
Procurement Management:
Develop and execute procurement strategies for international air freight services.
Source and negotiate with freight forwarders and logistics providers.
Support supplier relationship management to ensure service quality, reliability, and cost efficiency.
Logistics Contract Coordination: Collaborate with internal teams to align procurement process and business requirements for smooth and compliant execution.
Cost Optimization: Analyze freight spend and identify opportunities for cost savings without compromising service quality per SLAs set forth by the company.
Reporting and Analysis:
Track key performance indicators (KPIs) related to air freight operations to identify and pursuit better cost and performance from suppliers.
Use data-driven insights to recommend process improvements.
Preferred Qualifications:
Certification in supply chain management (e.g., CSCP, CPSM).
In-depth Experience managing complex international freight spend and operations.
Proficiency in procurement systems and logistics software.
Proven experience in the high-tech industry or similar sectors with high-value goods.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in supply chain, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
Minimum of 5 years' of experience in procurement with a focus on international air freight.
Solid understanding of international freight industry, keen awareness on Trade compliance, and Incoterms.
Excellent negotiation and supplier leadership skills. Analytical approach with a focus on process improvement.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Travel estimated 10-20%
