Rate of Pay: $16.07 per hour
Schedule: 220 Days; 7.0 paid hours per day

Klamath Falls City Schools is seeking candidates who are highly organized, friendly, student-centered, clear communicators, and self-starters to be the next District Office (D.O.) Receptionist. In addition, this position provides backup to the D.O. departments.
FUNCTION:
Under the direction of the HR director, performs a variety of office duty tasks such as answering the phone, scheduling appointments, photocopying, filing, opening and distributing mail, and other duties necessary to ensure the smooth operation of the District Office. Establishes and maintains a positive and effective working relationship with all District staff and the public. Welcomes visitors to the District Office, and supports the DO Departments.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- This position will be the main point of contact and will answer the District Office's main telephone line and provide information to the public.
- Maintains D.O. weekly events monitor.
- Responds to inquiries or route calls to the appropriate person/department.
- Greets and checks in all District Office visitors, ascertains the nature of the business and directs visitors to the appropriate person/department.
- Oversees the D.O. mailroom, including postage machine.
- Receives, maintains records, and distributes mail and packages for the District Office, including orders from the Warehouse.
- Monitors shredding containers.
- Manages and oversees all D.O. conference room reservations utilizing ML scheduler.
- Makes decisions independently in accordance with established policy.
- Develops positive working relationships with students, staff, families, and visitors.
- Possesses and exhibits an upbeat positive attitude.
- Operates office machines.
- Assists customers.
- Assists parents with completing transfer paperwork.
- Provides backup to all D.O. departments as needed.
- Assists with the volunteer process.
- Assists departments with filing.
- Keeps staff information confidential.
- Prepares letters, reports, graphs,charts, presentations as instructed.
- Assists with event planning and travel by department as needed.
- Support the Human Resources Department and provide backup.
- Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to satisfactorily perform each duty.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) plus three (3) years of secretarial, office management, and/or Human Resources experience.
Experience in the use of Raptor, Excel, Google Products, ML Scheduler preferred.
