Salary: Currently $49,638.36-$92,138.12 (DOE), plus 16% stipend, still being negotiated for 2025-2026.

PERS Retirement: The district assumes and pays the 6% average employee contribution to the Oregon PERS system.

Position: Occupational Therapist
Klamath Falls City Schools is seeking a highly professional and experienced occupational therapist to deliver school-based services to students in the Klamath Basin. The therapist will provide consultation and training to school staff, evaluation of student eligibility, progress and needs, recommendation and adjustment of equipment, input toward IEP development, and occupational therapy treatments typically provided to students with motor impairments.
POSITION GOAL: Plan, implement and monitor therapy services for appropriately identified students.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Assess and diagnose student's educationally related therapy needs.
- Instruct/demonstrate therapy/treatment programs to individual students and/or educational staff.
- Write, alter, review, update, and pre/post test treatment/instructional therapy programs.
- Note treatment and progress in electronic system.
- Coordinate therapy services for students with resource people, agencies, and/or others.
- Develop schedule of services to students and disseminate.
- Train school personnel to implement therapy programs.
- Plan and present inservice to school personnel and parents, and be a resource for information.
- Select and complete growth objectives.
- Participate in assigned staff school meetings and inservices.
- Establish and maintain positive, flexible, and cooperative relationships with district staff.
- Interact and communicate effectively with staff, parents/guardians, and students.
- Schedule and conduct needed student staffings.
- Implement and maintain student records and forms.
- Prepare and maintain materials and equipment.
- Perform physical requirements unaided or with the assistance of reasonable accommodation.
- Perform job related tasks as designated by supervisor.
MINIMUM PREREQUISITES/REQUIREMENTS
License to practice therapy in the State of Oregon.
Experience working with individuals with disabilities.
School based service preferred.
Obtain National Provider Identifier (NPI).
