SALARY: Currently $49,638.36-$92,138.12 (DOE), still being negotiated for 2025-2026

Overview:
Klamath Union High School is seeking a passionate, dedicated, and dynamic science teacher to join our academic team for the 2025-2026 school year. The ideal candidate will be qualified to teach a variety of science courses, including Integrated Science, Biology. The ideal candidate will have experience with dual credit programs, and a willingness to collaborate with community partners is essential. This position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful impact on students’ academic growth while preparing them for post-secondary success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Teach high school science courses, including Integrated Science, Biology.
- Develop and implement lesson plans aligned with state standards and district curriculum.
- Utilize inquiry-based learning methods, real-world applications, and laboratory experiments to foster student understanding and engagement.
- Assess student performance through assignments, tests, and projects, providing timely feedback to support growth.
- Maintain a safe and organized classroom environment that promotes scientific inquiry and teamwork.
- Utilize and maintain grade records in learning management system and student information services programs.
- Collaborate with other teachers, administrators, and staff to support student achievement and growth.
- Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with best practices in teaching science.
- Build positive relationships with colleagues, students, parents, and the community.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with laboratory management and safety procedures.
- Familiarity with online learning platforms and technology integration in the classroom.
- Ability to adapt instruction for diverse learning needs, including English Language Learners and students with IEPs.
