As a Residential Construction Estimator, you will be responsible for developing accurate cost estimates and construction schedules at various levels, from the order of magnitude to detailed working estimates. You will utilize the latest costing methodologies and data to present comprehensive breakdowns that can be easily understood by clients, project managers, and the project team.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare cost estimates for development and construction phases, based on the most up-to-date data available.
- Create production operating cost estimates tailored to the project's current phase.
- Develop construction schedules that align with the project's timeline and requirements.
- Collaborate with Project Managers and the project team to establish effective work breakdown structures.
- Provide insights to Project Managers regarding development and construction approaches based on available information.
- Generate expenditure schedules for different project phases.
- Contribute to project economic evaluations.
- Support other areas necessary to ensure the delivery of a high-quality product within schedule and budget.
Qualifications:
- Relevant training and/or certification in project cost estimating, with 1-2 years of experience in a similar role.
- Proficiency in preparing construction and development cost estimates.
- Strong analytical, numerical, and research skills.
- Proficient with Google Drive and Gantter; typing speed of 30 WPM or more.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills, with a proactive, team-oriented approach.
- Ability to work onsite in the metro Milwaukee area, maintaining high standards and accountability.
- Experience with database cost estimating software is preferred.
- Effective leadership skills and above-average written and oral communication abilities.
- Ability to thrive in a team-oriented environment.
