POSITION / TITLE : KLEO CASE MANAGER ( BILINGUAL SPANISH or FRENCH)
REPORTS TO : AIC SHIFT SUPERVISOR
POSITION STATUS : FULL TIME / NON-EXEMPT
JOB SUMMARY : The KLEO CASE MANAGER is responsible for working with residents to identify and address service needs including housing, benefits, health, legal, etc. through referral or direct support under the direction of the Shift Supervisor at KLEOs Shelter. K.L.E.O. Community Family Life Center believes in providing compassionate and client-centered services that are culturally competent and linguistically appropriate to all migrant residents.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES :
ADMINISTRATIVE DUTIES
- Intake new clients
- Provide individual counseling for resident misconduct and connect to appropriate supports
- Support shelter operations and respond to crisis scenarios
- Support connections to IL Coalition for Immigrant and Refugee Rights (ICIRR) CBO case managers and coordinate resources to ensure Clients are receiving the support they need.

Exerting up to 15 pounds of force occasionally, and / or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and / or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.Able to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), and other federal, state and local standards.Able to perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA, and other federal, state and local standards.Other : Must comply with agency requirements of strict client confidentiality; professional ethics and agency policies and procedures. Must participate in the following but not limited to : monthly staff meetings; trainings (travel often required); fundraising events; community fairs; client events, outreach efforts and other events as directed by Administration.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS :
Bilingual with fluency in English and Spanish is required. French Creole preferred but not requiredExperience in providing homeless and migrant servicesBachelors or associates degree in the Social Sciences (Psychology & Sociology) and Education from an accredited college or university is preferred.High School Diploma / GED or equivalent experience is required.Excellent organizational and communication skills, both oral and writtenParticipation as a team player and sensitive to issues of diversityComputer knowledge of MS Office products, and email systemsComfortable with learning new software programs.Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks and meet deadlines with solid organizational, analytical, and problem solving skillsCONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT :
