KCG is seeking a Technical Writer to join our team.
Responsibilities
Related activities to include, but not limited to:
- Researches, writes, edits, and proofreads technical data for use in documents or sections of documents such as manuals, procedures, and specifications
- Creates operation and maintenance technical manuals for the delivered EDM Systems and equipment
- Ensures technical documentation is accurate, complete, meets editorial and government specifications, and adheres to standards for quality, graphics, coverage, format, and style
- Assists in establishing style guidelines and standards for texts and illustrations and suggests revisions to the guidelines and standards
- Maintains the style guide
- Maintains documentation in content or document management systems
- Provides input to or update schedules to track document delivery milestones
- Writes, edits, or reviews proposals and/or marketing materials
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Three (3) years of experience writing one or more of the following using standard military practices:
- Operational Documentation
- Maintenance Documentation
- Installation Data Documentation
- Possess a current Department of Defense (DoD) Secret security clearance
- Excellent verbal and written communication
- Demonstrated expertise in Microsoft Word, Visio, Excel, PowerPoint and Project
