POSITION DESCRIPTION
The Senior Accounting Financial Analyst will report to the Director of FP&A and plays a critical role in supporting both the Accounting and Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) functions within the organization. This position is responsible for ensuring accurate financial reporting, conducting in-depth financial analysis, and providing insights to support strategic decision-making. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, a solid understanding of accounting principles, and the ability to work collaboratively across departments.
ACCOUNTABILITY
- Execution of monthly accounting for Kline Franchising (Retail cross-train)
- Preparation of monthly lead schedules for Royalties, Commissions, Tech Fee, Brand Fund, Consulting Software for Kline Franchising
- Quarterly rolling forecast projections for Kline Franchising (Retail cross-train)
- FP&A reporting for Leadership Financial Review Meetings
- Annual financial audit support
- Ad hoc analysis of actuals or projections for Kline Franchising (Retail cross-train)
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Execute full monthly accounting cycle for Kline Franchising
- Reconciliation of balance sheet account in Kline Franchising
- Prepare monthly lead schedules for Royalties, Commissions, Tech Fee, Brand Fund, Consulting, and Software
- Work with P&L owners in Kline Franchising to produce quarterly rolling forecast projections.
- Utilize established data visualization tools to present financial results for Leadership Financial Review meetings
- Support the Controller during the annual financial audit.
- Prepare ad hoc analysis of actuals or projections for Kline Franchising.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
- CPA or candidate, a plus
- 3-5 years of progressive experience in accounting or financial analysis roles
- Strong critical thinking skills
- High attention to detail
- Ability to effectively prioritize tasks and manage time to meet deadlines
- Ability to communicate effectively at varying levels and articulate financial results and performance to derive actionable recommendations.
- Working knowledge of GAAP Accounting.
- Expertise in Excel, PowerPoint, financial modeling, and sensitivity analysis
- NetSuite experience a plus
- Strong organization skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
