Key Responsibilities
- Ensure accurate recording of financial transactions and reconcile accounts in accordance with company policies and accounting standards.
- Prepare and review complex journal entries, including those related to financial statements and consolidations.
- Generate and manage internal financial reports for management as well as compliance-related reports for external stakeholders.
- Work closely with lenders, investors, auditors, and property managers to provide necessary financial information and resolve any issues that arise.
- Support the Assistant Controller in various accounting functions.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously while ensuring deadlines are met and tasks are completed efficiently.
- Build and maintain positive working relationships across all levels of the organization.
- Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting (required).
- A minimum of 5 years of accounting experience (required).
- Experience in real estate accounting is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to work independently.
- Ability to manage competing priorities and handle multiple projects at once.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team.
