Job Description
Performs various manual labor tasks in connection with restoration, ditching, and drainage. Assists in installing, repairing, deconstructing, and restoring sites, digs trenches/ditches by hand, helps to set/repair site surface. Assists with drainage tile tie ins. Performs traffic control and is knowledgeable regarding international hand signals for traffic control. Acts as a safety spotter for Operators. May assist CDL Driver in securing loads on trucks and trailers.
Duties and Responsibilities • Installing erosion and sediment control devices. • Driving wood stakes into the ground with sledgehammers. • Applying grass seed. Fertilizer and lime to work areas • Sweeping and shoveling mud and debris off construction roads • Installing T-post and safety fencing • Installing geo textile fabric below aggregate installations • Cleaning track equipment • Loading and unloading construction material and tools • Spotting heavy equipment while in operation • Removing debris from right of way accesses • Keep truck cabs clean • Other duties as assigned
Requirements •
Must be able to operate hand and power tools of all types: air hammers, shovels, and a variety of other equipment and instruments
Must be willing to travel within a multi-state area
Must pass a pre-employment and random drug tests
Must pass an acceptable background check
Must have a valid Driver’s License and be insurable
Must be able to lift 75 pounds
