We are seeking an Infrastructure Development Engineer to join our team at Klingner & Associates, PC. As a key member of our Water/Wastewater department, you will be responsible for developing and implementing water and wastewater infrastructure projects, ensuring they meet the needs of our clients and comply with relevant regulations.
You will work closely with clients, stakeholders, and regulatory bodies to understand their needs and expectations. You will develop and review designs, plans, specifications, permitting, and final construction documents for water distribution systems, pumping stations, sewer collection systems, lift stations, storm water systems, and water/wastewater treatment plants.
You will consider various technologies, system efficiency, reliability, operator capabilities, long-term need, and environmental impact to promote sustainable design. You will provide specialized technical input as well as hydraulic/hydrologic modeling and evaluations to support reporting and design.
You will complete Preliminary Engineering Reports, opinions of probable construction cost, and all other necessary reports and estimates. You will identify and address potential project risks and independently produce mitigation strategies.
You will ensure compliance with all applicable Local, State, and Federal regulations concerning water quality, water treatment, public health, and environmental protection. You will maintain current knowledge of regulatory trends to provide forward-thinking solutions.
You will meet all applicable funding agency requirements and remain knowledgeable of current potential funding avenues. You will follow industry design trends, technological advancements, professional organizations, and new certifications.
Key Responsibilities:
