Job Summary
Responsibilities will include knowledge of all state/local tax rules and customer exemptions for applicable states and applying them to our customers’ accounts, assisting in the daily functions of accounts receivable as needed, including assisting customers and our Factory Reps.
Essential Job Functions
Primary duties are following all state/local tax rules and exemptions for applicable states, researching and setting up new ones as needed. Verifying new and existing customers exemptions, adding them to Avalara and issuing tax credits. Run month-end tax reports, verify and upload into the Avalara system for return processing.
Assist in all functions of accounts receivable as needed, including processing credit card payments, answering accounting help line, and performing general accounting and clerical duties.
Salary Range: $38,600-51,700 Annually

Qualifications/Responsibilities
- Team player with a positive and winning attitude
- Basic computer skills
- Communications skills
- Experience in the industry a plus, however, not a requirement.
Requirements
- Education or Basic Knowledge: High School education, specialized training and (or) experience in accounting.
- Experience: the minimum previous related experience, whether acquired from outside or within the company, should be 2 years.
- Experience in Word and Excel.
- Ability to multi-task.
- Excellent communication skills.
