Job Summary
Klosek Law is seeking an Estate Planning/Trust Administration and Litigation attorney.
The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in Probate, Civil Litigation, Trust Administration, and/or Estate Planning. There is both an opportunity to do litigation work and transactional work (i.e. drafting estate plans, administering non contested trusts, and probating non contested matters).
This role requires excellent legal drafting skills and the ability to conduct thorough research to support case strategies.
The Attorney will represent clients in court proceedings, negotiate settlements, and provide legal advice on complex legal matters.
Responsibilities
- Represent clients in litigation matters before courts and administrative agencies.
- Prepare and draft legal documents including pleadings, motions, briefs, and discovery requests.
- Conduct comprehensive legal research to support case preparation and strategy development.
- Analyze case law, statutes, regulations, and other legal sources relevant to ongoing cases.
- Negotiate settlements on behalf of clients to resolve disputes effectively.
- Maintain accurate records of all case-related activities and documentation.
- Collaborate with other attorneys and legal staff to ensure comprehensive case management.
- Stay updated on changes in laws and regulations that may impact client cases.
Requirements
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
- Active license to practice law in the relevant jurisdiction.
- Proven experience in litigation with a track record of successful case outcomes.
- Excellent legal drafting skills with attention to detail.
- Strong research abilities with proficiency in using legal research tools and databases.
- Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
