We are pleased to share an exciting Controller search we are leading for a well-established, financial services institution in the Greater Boston/Providence area. They seek a dynamic leader to drive strategic growth and operational excellence within the financial services sector.
Key Priorities:
- Report directly to the CFO, serve as a key member of the Finance Department.
- As a strategic and tactical partner to the CFO, provide financial and operational insights to senior leadership and the Board.
- Effectively lead, manage, and develop the Finance & Accounting team.
- Oversee core finance & accounting functions, including accounting operations, A/P, A/R, funds management, and financial reporting.
- Ensure the accurate and timely preparation of financial statements in accordance with GAAP and regulatory standards.
- Lead efforts to enhance financial processes, optimize resource utilization, contribute to key initiatives, drive department-wide process improvements, and leverage best practices.
Job Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a Controller within a financial services organization is preferred.
- Public Accounting experience and/or CPA preferred.
- Experience creating financial statements, general ledger functions, and the month-end/year-end close process.
- Excellent accounting software user and administration skills.
- Bachelor’s Degree required. Advanced degree in Accounting preferred.
