Responsibilities:
- Conduct legal research and draft legal documents, pleadings, and assist with the discovery process.
- Conduct client consultations, take and defend depositions, and prepare for court hearings and trials.
- Provide support in preparing and attending court hearings, ensuring thorough case preparation.
- Prepare for and lead trials, providing strong courtroom representation for clients.
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school with strong academic credentials and current admission in good standing to the Rhode Island Bar (MA Licensure is a plus).
- 3 years of civil litigation experience, including trial work, motion practice, discovery, dispositive motions, and appellate work; experience with alternative dispute resolution (arbitration/mediation) is a plus.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail and upholding high ethical standards.
