Payroll Specialist & Bookkeeper
Farmington, Maine
E. L. Vining & Son is seeking a Payroll Specialist & Bookkeeper, to be based in their Farmington, ME location. This is a full-time, hands-on position responsible for processing weekly payroll, maintaining payroll data and records as well as bookkeeping duties including accounts payable and accounts receivable.
\n- Minimum 3 to 5 years proven experience in a similar role
- Experience with payroll processing and related tasks
- Knowledge of tax laws and compliance regarding payroll
- Experience in AP/AR
- Attention to detail and emphasis on accuracy
- Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Excel
- Knowledge of payroll systems; SAGE 300 experience preferred
- Ability to commute to Farmington, ME Monday through Friday
- Hourly pay in the range of $28.00 to $30.00 an hour

- Prepare and disburse weekly payroll accurately and on time.
- Update payroll records for status changes, tax updates, direct deposit, and deductions.
- Accounts Payable dutiesto include matching invoices to PO’s, paying invoices and entering invoices.
- Accounts Receivable duties such as entering payments and producing monthly customer statements and cash requirement reports.
