Chest Medicine Associates is seeking a Receptionist to be based in the South Portland office.
\n- High school diploma. Associate’s degree preferred.
- Previous medical experience in an office-based setting preferred.
- Knowledgeable of modern office procedures and equipment, and medical terminology.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize work.
- Professional written and verbal communication skills with customer service focus.
- Ability to work onsite in South Portland, Maine.

- Assisting with checking-in patients.
- Obtain patient CPAP downloads for current/future appointments.
- Responsible for confirming demographics, pharmacy, and home healthcare company if applicable.
- Responsible for scanning patient’s insurance card and verify that insurance is current.
- Responsible for collecting co-pays and outstanding balances during check-in process.
- Presents a polite, professional, and courteous manner to the patients.
- Maintains strict confidentiality.
- Participate in compliance of OSHA/HIPAA/OIG regulations.
