What You'll Do
As a Jeweler, your key responsibilities will include:
- Repair & Restore: Restore damaged or broken jewelry, select appropriate gems, and clean and polish jewelry while maintaining quick turnaround times.
- Craftsmanship: Repair broken clasps, pins, rings, and other jewelry by soldering
- or replacing broken parts. Reshape and restyle old jewelry using hand tools and machines such as a jeweler's lathe and drill.
- Design & Create: Cut and shape precious metals into jewelry using cutting and carving tools. Resize rings made from various metals.
- Safety First: Adhere to all safetyrelated procedures to reduce the risk of accidents.
- Inventory Management: Order and maintain jewelry supplies necessary for the workshop.
- Team & Independence: Work independently as well as part of a team, setting up
a repair shop and multitasking to prioritize and promptly complete tasks.
Qualifications
We are looking for a candidate with the following qualifications:
- Strong followup skills
- At least three years experience as a jeweler
- Attention to detail
- Strong communication and computer skills
- Ability to multitask and manage time effectively
- Positive attitude, punctuality, and trustworthiness
Working Conditions
The role requires:
- Extended periods of sitting or standing in front of a worktable.
- Long hours working with your hands.
- Availability for a fulltime position, including weekends.
