What are the responsibilities and job description for the QA Tooling Inspector position at KMG Tool & Machine?
KMG Tool & Machine, located in Wichita, Kansas, has been serving aerospace customers since 1986. We are currently seeking an experienced QA Tooling Inspector. As a QA Tooling Inspector you will be responsible for the inspection of a variety of manufactured parts.
Duties:
- Read and interpret blueprints
- Perform part inspection
- Perform calibration functions
- Measure parts with hand tools and CMM close tolerances
- Record measurements
- Maintain product quality
- Suggest resolution to quality issues or concerns
- Interact with customers and team members
- Ability to work well within a team and as an individual
- Be willing and open to adapting to multiple jobs
- Maintain a clean work environment
- Maintain a safe work environment
Requirements:
- Minimum 3-5 years aerospace, required
- Q/A or inspector experience, required
- High school diploma or equivalent, required
- Run a CMM (Coordinate Measuring Machine), required
- Proficient with Word and Excel
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Organization skills and time management
- Communicate effectively with customers and team members
