Operations Manager Job Overview

As an Operations Manager (Ops Mgr) at KMM, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing and optimizing the efficiency of our warehouse operations. You will be responsible for managing a team, implementing streamlined processes, ensuring inventory accuracy, and maintaining a safe working environment. Your strategic mindset and strong leadership skills will contribute to the success of our operations and the satisfaction of our customers.

Operations Manager Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage a team of 2 operations associates, providing guidance, coaching, and support to achieve operational excellence.
  • Plan, organize, and monitor daily warehouse activities, including receiving, storage, order fulfillment, and shipping.
  • Monitor Profit & Loss (P&L) Reports with full understanding of how warehouse expenses, errors, inventory discrepancies, and mis-shipments directly impact all areas on P&L Statements.
  • Develop and implement efficient and effective warehouse processes, ensuring accuracy and timely execution of tasks.
  • Monitor inventory levels to ensure accurate inventory levels.
  • Utilize warehouse management systems to track and manage inventory movements, shipments, and order processing.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency, reduce costs, and optimize resource utilization.
  • Scheduling and assigning workload to operations associates and follow-up to ensure the workload is completed.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations, company policies, and industry best practices to maintain a secure and healthy work environment.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including program management, procurement, and customer service, to ensure seamless operations and timely order fulfillment.
  • Analyze performance metrics and Key Performance Indicators to identify areas for improvement and make data-driven decisions to enhance productivity and customer satisfaction.
  • Prepare and present regular reports on warehouse performance, operational challenges, and improvement opportunities to upper management.
  • Maintain the physical condition of warehouse and office spaces by planning and implementing new design layouts; inspecting equipment; issuing work orders for repair and requisitions for replacement.

Operations Manager Qualifications

  • Proven experience with 10 years in warehouse management, a successful track record of leading and developing teams, as well as meeting scheduled deadlines.
  • Proven experience managing P&L Statements.
  • Demonstrated understanding of how warehouse expenses, errors, inventory discrepancies, and mis-shipments directly affect all areas on P&L Statements.
  • Strong understanding of warehouse operations, inventory management, and supply chain principles.
  • Flexible and ability to quickly adapt to changing conditions.
  • Maintain a positive attitude and open to growth and new challenges.
  • Willingness to get involved in the day-to-day manual labor operations, as necessary.
  • Proficiency in using warehouse management systems and other relevant software.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Exceptional problem-solving abilities and analytical skills to identify and resolve operational challenges.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with various stakeholders.
  • Experience using Microsoft 365 (e.g., PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Must be willing to accept emergency calls 24 / 7 / 365.
  • Operations Manager Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration (or related field)
  • Lean Six Sigma Certification
  • Experience in Telecommunications / Related Industry
