Position Summary / Objective :
The Human Resource Director must have proven ability to lead and direct all functions of the Human Resources (HR) department including HR planning, recruiting and hiring, compensation and benefits, health and safety, labor law compliance and reporting, training and development, employee and labor relations, performance management, and other administrative duties. The ideal candidate must have solid leadership skills with a track record of success.

- Work with senior management to align HR strategies with the company’s overall strategy and understand and execute the organization’s human resource and talent strategy particularly as it relates to current and future talent needs, recruiting, retention, and succession planning.
- Collaborate with departmental managers to understand skills and competencies required for openings to create accurate and compliant requisitions and job descriptions.
- Provide support and guidance to the HR team, management, and other staff when complex, specialized, and sensitive questions and issues arise; may be required to administer and execute routine tasks in delicate circumstances such as providing reasonable accommodations, investigating allegations of wrongdoing, helping create performance improvement plans, and assisting or coaching with terminations.
- Guide managers on employee relations to cultivate a positive and respectful workplace culture by adhering to the core values of the company, R.A.I.L.S.
- Ensure HR processes and policies comply with federal, state, and local employment laws and recommended best practices; develop, implement, enforce, and revise policies and practices to maintain compliance.
- Manage and optimize HR budget.
- Track HR metrics to analyze the performance of HR initiatives.
- Complete all HR compliance reporting such as EEO-1, Vets-4212, AAP, etc.
- Oversee the HRIS system (ADP Workforce Now); make or recommend revisions and updates to data input to ensure annual reporting requirements are being met and we’re maximizing the efficiency and effectiveness of the system as designed.

Position Type / Expected Hours of Work :
The typical workday is eight hours in length. Some flexibility in hours is allowed with approval from the supervisor. Attendance at mandatory meetings is required. Must be available during the core work hours as determined by your work location and supervisor and must account for the required number of hours in a pay period to maintain Full-time status.
