Position Summary / Objective:
KMS Solutions, LLC is seeking a highly motivated individual to serve as a program analyst in for the Non-Propulsion Electronic Systems Modernization Branch, as part of the In-Service Strategic Submarine Program Office (PMS 396), as part of Program Executive Officer (PEO), Strategic Submarines.
This person will directly support the SWFTS/MS/SCS/DPS Modernization Lead
(PMS 396D23) and will be expected to work across the In-Service SSBN (PMS 396), Naval Undersea Warfare Centers and Maritime Industrial Base (MIB). PMS 396D’s role is to manage and coordinate ship alterations and modernization of the Strategic Submarine Force.
Essential functions:

- Manage all aspects of SWFTS Shipalts to include; Scheduling, Coordination with Maintenance Facilities and contractors, development and routing of work packages, and representing PMS 396D in weekly coordination meetings.
Required education and experience:
- Current and emerging shipyard maintenance processes, Submarine systems and supporting documentation (e.g. Technical Manuals, Ship System Manuals (SSMs), Maintenance Standards (MS’s)), NAVSEA technical authority and shipyard process and procedures.
- Ability to research, analyze, and synthesize data for senior leader review is required.
- Must be able to communicate effectively and excel in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred education and experience:
- 7 years in related positions within the submarine force or submarine industry.
- Experience briefing senior military and government leadership (admirals/generals/SES).
- Bachelor’s degree. Experience may be qualifying in lieu of a degree.
Competencies:
- Strong written and oral communications.
- Ability to work within a team atmosphere.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Powerpoint, Word, Excel, Sharepoint)
Work authorization/security clearance requirements:
Secret clearance is required.

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, and photocopiers. Additionally, job may include going onto submarine or into a shipyard environment.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:
The typical workday is eight hours in length. Some flexibility in hours is allowed, with concurrence from the supervisor. The employee must be available during the “core” work hours of 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. and must account for the hours in a pay period to maintain full-time status.
Telework:
This is position will be onsite at the WNY or a nearby contractor location with telework allowed (up to 40%).
Travel:
Travel to industrial activities/locations, may be required, up to 25%.
