Summary/objective:
KMS Solutions is seeking an experienced System Safety Program Manager to join our team providing System and Software Safety engineering support to the NAVSEA Enterprise. The ideal candidate will apply engineering and management principles, criteria, & techniques to optimize safety within constraints of operational effectiveness, time, & cost throughout the system life-cycle.
Essential functions:

- Oversee contract administration
- Oversee budgeting, invoicing, tracking of hours and burn rate
- Perform hiring and staffing
- Manage contract deliverables, progress reports, etc.
- Meeting support.
- IPT Support
- Program transition
- Travel authorizations
Required education and experience:
- Bachelor’s degree (BS/BA) from an accredited college or university in an engineering, scientific, business, or technical discipline.
- Ten (10) years of experience in information systems or system integration projects with weapon systems.
- Five (5) years of qualified experience in managing programs that provide technical engineering services similar in scope and complexity as those in the SOW. This includes monitoring and reporting contract performance status, metrics, financial coordination, and reporting.
Preferred education and experience:
- Experience at NSWC Dahlgren.
- PMP or DAWIA PM Certification.
Competencies:
- Capable of effectively working and problem solving in both independent and team environments.
- Experience communicating and interacting with, all levels of the customer and company leadership.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office applications, specifically Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Project.
- Program Management skills.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:
The typical workday is eight hours in length. Some flexibility in hours is allowed, with concurrence from the supervisor. Must be available during the core work hours as determined by your contract/location and must account for the hours in a pay period to maintain Full-time status.
Telework:
This is a hybrid position and may allow for up to 40% telework.
Travel:
Up to 10% travel may be required [CONUS / OCONUS].
