Summary / objective :
KMS Solutions is seeking an analyst to provide acquisition support to the Undersea Special Mission Systems program office (PMS 390) located at the Washington Navy Yard in Washington, DC. PMS 390’s mission includes : Assessment / Underwater Work System (AUWS), Submarine Rescue System-Rescue Capable System (SRS-RCS), and the Submarine Rescue System-Submarine Decompression System (SRS-SDS). They are also responsible for the coordination of R&D initiatives, acquisition, test and evaluation, in-service support, and recommends certification of Dry Deck Shelter (DDS) and Special Operations Forces (SOF) Host Submarine (HOSUB) Systems. This includes responsibility for future SOF Undersea Mobility Systems and technical support for all matters pertaining to SOF Undersea Mobility; and other projects as directed. This position specifically supports the SOF branch.

Essential functions :

- Program management and engineering support for Submarine Escape and Rescue (SER) program, specifically for in-service support.
- Supports review and tracking programmatic and technical documentation submitted by the maintenance activity, planning yard and fleet.
- Works with Technical Warrant Holders, Ship Design Managers, and other key stakeholders to reach adjudication of comments and receive concurrence for SRS packages.
- Support in the recertification of the Submarine Rescue System.
- Support in development of drafting Naval Correspondence and developing programmatic briefs for internal and external stakeholders
- Manages changing priorities and timelines, tracks and reports technical branch metrics
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
- Support and accompany PMS390 clients in ADHOC meetings, requiring travel or in office support.

Position Type / Expected Hours of Work :
The typical workday is eight hours in length. Some flexibility in hours is allowed, with concurrence from the supervisor. Must be available during the core work hours as determined by your contract / location and must account for the hours in a pay period to maintain Full-time status.
Telework :
This position may allow for up to 50% telework and requires 50% onsite work.
Travel :
Up to 10% [CONUS / OCONUS] travel may be required.
