What You Will be Doing:
- Read work orders to determine specifications, such as materials to be used, dimensions and tolerances
- Operate and maintain laser cutting machines to cut, and shape material according to production specifications
- Monitor machine operations to ensure quality and adherence to productions schedules
- Perform change overs and set-ups and run first piece inspections as well as all subsequent inspections
- Use measuring tools such as micrometers, gauges, calipers to complete tasks
- Demonstrate competency and willingness to operate machines in multiple areas
- Respond to machine faults and downtime, and accurately track data
- Perform all shop order functions, packing instructions, and labeling requirements
- Participate in Kaizen events, problem solving teams and improvement projects as available
- Follow all safety procedures
- Keep a clean and organized work area
- Use of all provided PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) as required
- Drive a forklift
What You Will Bring:
- Work Experience: 1 year of manufacturing experience, strong mechanical knowledge, laser cutting and programming experience with sheet metal, knowledge of machining processes including CNC and brake press operation, the ability to read blueprints and use measuring tools such as calipers, and gages
- Education: High School Diploma or GED
- Certification: Ability to get Forklift Certified
- Computer Skills: Ability to learn and make transactions in an ERP system like Oracle
- Organization Skills: Ability to efficiently work in a high paced environment
- Communication Skills: Speak, read, write, and understand basic English
