Position Overview
This position will lead and manage the day-to-day operations, workflow, and personnel responsible for quoting installed products and services. This person will serve as first point of contact for qualifying bid opportunities, troubleshooting technical, system and customer issues as well as serve as the key resource for product knowledge, training, and expertise for Fleet Quoting. Additionally, the Fleet Quoting Manager will perform various administrative, analytical, and ad-hoc tasks to support department and company-wide initiatives.
Duties & Responsibilities
Develop, train, and support team of quote analysts responsible for final stage upfitting.
Oversee, monitor, and respond to group email inbox inquires, questions and bid opportunities.
Assign and delegate tasks, tickets, and quotes sensibly and appropriately to all team members.
Assure product compatibility and conformity to Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standards.
Apply and align pricing strategies to grow profitability and/or market share throughout customer base.
Review discrepancies, delays and issues from previous orders associated to future opportunities.
Participate in design review meetings, customer inspections and customer visits when requested.
Collaborate with various departments to assure proper workflow, channel alignment and due diligence.
Develop reporting and key performance indicators to help drive and grow overall group performance.
Administer Company policies, objectives and directives at a management and professional level.
Make key decisions on personnel, procedures, and best practices in the Company's best interest(s).
Position Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Business-related field. MBA or advanced degree an advantage.
Strong communication skills, leadership mentality and overall business acumen expected.
Occasional, infrequent and over-night travel is expected.
Ability to troubleshoot wide range of issues necessary, including but not limited to: product specifications, bid interpretations, CAD drawings, channel strategy, pricing mechanics, installation procedures, outsourcing needs, customer service and human resource management.
Must be willing to work extended hours as needed to fulfill customer expectations and deadlines.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite applications (Excel, Powerpoint, Word).
Ability to make high impact decisions on short notice while still retaining core company values.
Physical/Mental Requirements Needed to Perform the Essential Functions of the Position:
Normal standing, bending, walking, lifting in an office environment.
Ability to communicate verbally or in written form with individuals at any level.
Ability to sit and work at a computer multiple continuous hours per day
