What are the responsibilities and job description for the Yard Associate position at Knecht Home Center of Sheridan?
Sheridan Home Center, a Mead Lumber Company is a leading provider of products to professional contractors, construction builders and remodelers. Primary responsibility is to drive company vehicles to deliver merchandise to customer jobsites and physically unload the materials to the customer’s satisfaction. Help load and unload trucks, put merchandise away, clean up yard.
- Learn company products, procedures, culture, and customer service philosophy.
- Load and unload trucks according to the list of materials on the sales invoice.
- Delivers and unloads materials to customer’s satisfaction and on a timely basis.
- Maintain inspection of each vehicle you drive for safe driving.
- Accurately record all merchandise returns on a credit memo.
- Listen and work with customers to solve customer needs.
- Stock products and keep shelving tidy.
- Valid driver’s license and a good driving record.
- Desire to learn and grow professionally.
- Be self-motivated and productive.
- Physical strength to lift and carry 75 pounds.
