IT Security Operations Internship - KnitWell Group
The Information Security Vulnerability intern provides advice and expertise to IT staff and other departments related to information security issues. The intern uses sources both internal and external to identify and assess potential threats to the security of KnitWell Group's data and information assets. They assist and advise other in the organization and provide critical thinking to successfully identify strategies to remediate and / or mitigate identified threats. The Information Security Vulnerability intern reports to the Director, Security Operations.
Internship Details
- Evaluates the threat landscape and conducts vulnerability analysis on emerging risks to the organization.
- Discovers, evaluates, and provides intelligence information relevant to the KnitWell environment.
- Uses known vulnerabilities at KnitWell Group to produce recommendations for mitigation and / or remediation.
- Monitors security tools and alerts to identify potential threats.
- Participates in the collection of logs, documents, and other resources required for security review.
- Monitors third party products and vendors to identify emerging threats and vulnerabilities associated with those technologies and / or vendors
- Participates in the creation and upkeep of information security processes and documentation
- Other duties assigned as needed.
