Job Description: Procurement Specialist
KNL is on the lookout for a Procurement Specialist to join our team, operating directly onsite with our client. This role is key to managing end-to-end procurement functions for large-scale construction projects, ensuring operational efficiency, financial accountability, and vendor alignment with high-value budgets and schedules.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the procurement lifecycle for corporate construction projects, including vendor selection, bid evaluations, contract negotiations, and purchase execution.
- Collaborate closely with project managers and financial stakeholders to align procurement activities with budget forecasts and project milestones.
- Oversee and manage vendor relationships, ensuring service quality, cost effectiveness, and timely delivery of materials and services.
- Monitor and maintain procurement documentation, purchase orders, and contracts in compliance with internal controls and audit requirements.
- Utilize or interpret data from construction management platforms such as Procore and Bluebeam to support material tracking, project costing, and supplier coordination.
- Work across departments to ensure timely approvals, reconciliations, and reporting of procurement activities.
- Assist in continuous process improvement efforts, recommending tools, policies, or workflow changes to enhance procurement operations.
Basic Requirements:
- Minimum 3 years of experience in procurement, preferably in the construction or large-scale project management industry.
- Proven ability to manage procurement for high-dollar contracts and projects with strong attention to detail.
- Strong knowledge of procurement regulations, financial tracking, and vendor compliance best practices.
- Experience with construction project platforms such as Bluebeam and Procore is a plus.
- Proficiency in Excel and Microsoft Office Suite; familiarity with digital document management systems.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks effectively, and thrive in a dynamic project-driven environment.
