Job Responsibilities
- Project Leadership & Design Execution:
- Lead project analysis, site assessments, and zoning ordinance research during early development phases.
- Oversee design development, schematic planning, and construction documentation to ensure alignment with project goals.
- Direct and contribute to the creation and revision of construction documents using Revit and AutoCAD.
- Conduct quality control reviews, ensuring compliance with building codes and project requirements.
- Guide the design and development of workforce housing and high-end residential projects, balancing functionality, sustainability, and aesthetics.
- Collaboration & Team Mentorship:
- Facilitate collaborative design workshops and project kick-off meetings to drive innovative solutions.
- Work closely with consultants, contractors, and internal teams to ensure seamless project execution.
- Mentor junior architects, providing guidance on detailing, documentation, and best practices.
- Client & Consultant Engagement:
- Develop and maintain client relationships, ensuring clear communication and successful project execution.
- Coordinate with engineers, contractors, and subcontractors to resolve field issues and optimize constructability.
- Serve as a primary point of contact for construction administration, addressing RFIs and plan modifications.
Requirements
- 6 years of experience in architectural design and project management.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit, with a strong ability to develop and direct construction documents.
- Deep understanding of building codes, zoning regulations, and entitlement processes.
- Strong problem-solving skills with an eye for detail and design excellence.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to lead projects and collaborate effectively.
- A bachelor's degree in architecture is preferred; AIA or NCARB licensure pursuit is a plus.
