About the Job:
We are seeking a highly skilled Facilities Maintenance Engineer to join our team at Knott's Berry Farm. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining the hotel building, equipment, and ensuring guest-rooms are in complete working order. You will also be responsible for public areas, including hallways, pool area, fitness center, sports courts, banquet spaces, stairways, public restrooms, public access, and lobby areas.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain the hotel building and equipment to ensure guest-rooms are in complete working order and public areas are free from unsightly maintenance blemishes.
- Conduct regular inspections and take corrective action as necessary.
- Perform routine repairs to hotel equipment and maintain building systems, including painting, plumbing, electrical wiring, and other related activities.
- Communicate with supervisors regarding repair status, inventory levels, guest complaints, losses, and unusual situations to maintain smooth operations.
- Complete various forms and department paperwork, adhering to operational procedures.
- Provide exceptional guest service according to Six Flags standards when serving guests or working with subordinates.
- Meet scheduling requirements, including nights, weekends, and holiday periods to meet business needs.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Vocational or technical training in Electrical, HVAC, Plumbing, Carpentry, or related fields preferred.
- At least two years of maintenance or relevant work experience required.
- Demonstrated knowledge of proper chemical handling techniques, maintenance techniques, and equipment usage.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and working knowledge of electrical and plumbing systems.
- Able to operate various types of heavy maintenance equipment.
