Job Title: Application Development Manager

Overview:

We are seeking an experienced leader to oversee our core development team and drive the design, implementation, and integration of innovative core banking solutions. This role will shape technical strategies, foster team growth, and ensure our banking applications meet business goals and industry standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Team Leadership: Guide and mentor the core development team, aligning technical initiatives with overall business strategy.
• Application Oversight: Direct the development, design, and implementation of core banking applications (including Symitar solutions) to enhance operational efficiency.
• Agile Methodologies: Implement agile practices and enforce software engineering best practices throughout the development lifecycle.
• Collaboration: Work closely with internal IT teams and external vendors to deliver integrated, scalable solutions.
• Innovation & Continuous Improvement: Monitor emerging financial technologies and drive initiatives that promote continuous improvement and operational excellence.

Job Requirements:

• Minimum of 6 years’ experience with financial technology systems (e.g., Jack Henry, Symitar, MeridianLink, Encompass).
• Expertise in software development methodologies, version control, and quality testing practices.
• Demonstrated leadership experience with a proven ability to coach and build high-performing teams.
• Excellent influencing and communication skills, with experience collaborating with executive leadership.
• Solid understanding of agile project management principles.

Preferred Qualifications:

• BS or MS in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
• Direct experience developing and integrating core banking applications (e.g., Symitar, PowerOn, RepGen).
• Familiarity with IBM AIX operating system, SQL development, HTML, and JavaScript.
• Knowledge of ITIL frameworks and experience in implementing structured engineering processes.
