Full-time Campus Safety Officer
scheduled days off will vary, weekends required
Purpose :
Campus Safety provides 24-hour protection and service to the Knox College Campus and community. Campus Safety Officers are dedicated to developing and maintaining a safe and secure campus environment and helping to ensure compliance with federal, state and local laws as well as Knox College policies and procedures, in cooperation with the other campus departments and community organizations.
Key Responsibilities :
- Patrol campus in vehicle and on foot for the protection of students, employees, visitors and their property
- Secure and provide authorized access to campus buildings
- Respond to emergency situations and routine requests for service
- Enforce Knox College rules and regulations and ensure compliance with the law
- Coordinate with emergency services when required.
- Document incident reports and report any safety or security situations to appropriate resources.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities :
Minimum Education Required :
Associates Degree or two (2) or more years of full-time security, law enforcement or related experience.
Minimum Experience Required :
Associates Degree or two (2) or more years of full-time security, law enforcement or related experience.
Minimum Licenses / Certifications Required :
Valid Driver’s License
Additional Qualifications : (Preferred qualifications)
Training in CPR, First Aid, use of AEDs and Naloxone administration.
Summary Pay Range : Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience. Please note that pay is only one component of total compensation.
